images and words

imagines mundi means images of the world. But it also means images for the world. This blog is my attempt to take pictures not only of the world, but for the good and the sake of the world. Enjoy! Any feedback is appreciated.

Utah Nuclear Power at 8808 North Cove Dr.

On November 7, 2012 these six panels were installed on the south facing aspect of my garage roof to harness nuclear fusion, to invest in the well-being of the planet for my daughter's sake and to do the right thing. No need to build a dirty fission plant on the Green River and cater to special interests. No, solar energy is power to the people. Distributed power. Democratic power. The panels were installed by Dwelltek, a local firm here in Park City, which is owned by my first NOLS instructor, Jason Dittmer.  In the background to the East are the Uintas and of course, the rising sun, our ticket to reduced carbon use and a lighter energy footprint. Indeed this is a climate for change.
